                 A warm welcome to the Khyber Medical Colleges’ official website. Khyber Medical College was established in 1954 as faculty of Medicine, of University of Peshawar. Ever since the institution has conglomerate impressive assortment of achievements, success and fame since its existence. We have produced about nine thousand graduates, all of whom have made us proud with their unparalleled skill & professionalism, both in Pakistan & abroad. The credit for this goes to our devoted faculty & enthusiastic students.

                Khyber Medical College stands out as an emblem of success because of the fact that we have always been very progressive & have never let stagnation creep into our set up. Khyber Medical College is progressing by leaps and bounds in every stratum. Today the college offers FCPS training in Clinical Sciences & a number of subjects of Basic Medical Sciences.

         We have an impressive Self Learning Resource Centre (SLRC) that provides the students & the faculty with the opportunity to harness the benefits of Information Technology for their research & learning. Very recently the SLRC has been revamped with brand new computers. In addition all necessary equipment has been installed for the provision of wireless internet on college premises for further aiding the learning process of our pupils. A Network bridging has been developed among KMC, Khyber Teaching hospital and Hostels of KMC. All these developments are indeed revolutionary & will certainly go a long way in enhancing the academic standing of our students.

                 Khyber Medical College has an active Center for Medical education(CME) to support and chance the function of the faculty as educationists and the students as learners. It is striving to keep the college abreast with changing trends in teaching methodologies. To increase awareness and build educational skills among the faculty members, the center for medical education has planned a structured program of periodic workshops throughout the year on topics of importance to the faculty.

       All hostels too are undergoing huge makeovers, & are being renovated at a remarkable pace to cater to the growing needs of our students. Now net facility has also been provided to the hostels.

Perhaps the most imposing of all achievements of our college is the fact that we have always given our students room to develop & groom every sphere of their personalities. Today our students run a huge spectrum of societies, each one more active than the other.

        The Social Welfare Society (Youth wing of Pakistan Red crescent society, N.W.F.P) is a society par excellence. The society has four wings, a Blood wing, a Health Education wing, a Social Assistance wing & a Patient Care wing. Because of the unswerving efforts of this Society, it has been winning the Champion’s Trophy as the Best Youth Wing of Pakistan Red Crescent Society, N.W.F.P Branch for the last 22 years in a row.

        The Literary Society quenches the thirst of students with literary souls. Each year these bright minds come together to give birth to KMCs’ splendid annual magazine, the CENNA, which has over the years established itself as a true literary masterpiece.

        The Sports Society doesn’t lag behind & each year stages the much-awaited Sports Week & Annual Sports Day with much aplomb & grandeur.

        Similarly our Hiking Club is a unique society. It gives our students a rare opportunity to witness the spellbinding splendor of Mother Nature. Our students have gone as far as Nanga Parbat & K-2 Base Camps.

        The Students Learning Forum(SLF) is a one of its kind platform through which our students voice their suggestions & ideas in regard of the syllabus & study methods to the faculty.

        In addition the International Federation of Medical Students Association (IFMSA) provides global exposure to our students & has to date represented K.M.C in a number of International projects. Very recently it organized an extensive 3 day one of its kind workshop on Child Abuse Prevention, and then organized in different schools of the Peshawar District, which was a huge success.
