Patient Care Wing, SWS conducted a training session "Train to help". The objective of which was teaching students basic medical skills and helping them learn how to tackle different emergency conditions.The activity lasted for a month during which 4 sessions were carried out, each session was given 7 days (Monday to Sunday) for learning. The timing was from 3:00pm to 7:00pm.
Each batch consisted of 8-10 students from different classes i.e. 1st year to 4th year.The students were assessed and their attendances were marked on daily basis. All the basic medical skills ie IV,IM etc were performed under the supervision of nurses to avoid any unfavorable situation during the activity.
Response from the students was very positive, their interest level was high throughout the activity. Students cherished hospital exposure and appreciated the platform provided by the Patient Care Wing, SWS.
